Services and Fees
The following services are available via in person or telehealth services. Please note that Dr. Berness is an out of network provider, and all potential clients should contact their insurance company prior to starting therapy for a full understanding of their coverage.
Consultations: Initial consultations are recommended to evaulate whether psychological services are appropriate for the individual. When a parent is seeking services for a child, initial consultations with the parent only are recommended.
Individual Psychotherapy: Individual psychotherapy is availble for a wide array of concerns.
School Consultations: Depending on the areas of concern, it can be helpful to have your child's psychologist attend IEP or 504 plan meetings. Services are also available for classroom observations and consultations with teachers.
Parent Training: Services are available to support parents in managing children's behavior, developing better communication patterns with their children, and generally becoming more confident and positive about their parenting skills.

ADHD, Anger, Anxiety, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Coping with Chronic Illness, Depression, Developmental Disorders, Giftedness, Loss and Bereavement, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Oppositional/Defiant Behaviors, Panic Disorder, Parenting, School Phobia, Separation Anxiety, Social Phobia, Stress Management, and Toileting Problems

Additional Fee Information:
Time outside of sessions (i.e., outside meetings, phone calls longer than 15 minutes, travel, the preparation of reports or letters and collateral contacts) will be billed on a prorated basis based in 5 minute increments of the standard psychotherapy fee stated above.
Cancellation Fee: You are responsible for the total fee of missed appointments, or appointments that are not cancelled with at least 24 hours notice.
**Please note that Place of Service (in office vs. telehealth) is not delineated above since the charges are identical.
